2026-10-31: Output plan now generated from Upfit Studio
Parent project: F-150 Emergency Lighting and 12V Upfit.
What changed
Section titled “What changed”Upfit Studio is the offline Windows app that holds the F-150 build: every product, circuit, wire and the CanTrol control plan. From version 0.5.0 it writes a public-safe data file (src/data/f150-upfit/upfit-studio.json) into this site’s repository each time a change is saved, and commits it. When that commit reaches GitHub, Cloudflare Pages rebuilds the site.

What the data file leaves out
Section titled “What the data file leaves out”Notes, order numbers, tracking numbers and prices stay out of the file. It holds product names, circuits, wire colors and functions, and the control plan.
Status
Section titled “Status”Nothing in the plan is bench-tested or programmed into the CanTrol yet. Pin numbers come from Whelen guide 14580G and are not yet proven on the module.
Later the same day: Upfit Studio gets its own project page
Section titled “Later the same day: Upfit Studio gets its own project page”- New project page Upfit Studio under Software and Automation, with 18 screenshots of version 0.5.2 (prices and order notes removed from the screenshot copy), the release details, the version history from 0.1.0 to 0.5.2, and what is and isn’t tested.
- Rocker panel lights: the 31 Oct approved wiring, with relay A on LED Output 3 (Mode 1) and relay B on J1 Output 7 (Mode 2), arrows on LED Outputs 22 and 23, and the pattern step on LED Output 32 (LEFT ALLEY).
- U-Lite grille lights: blues on LED Output 16, greens on LED Output 17, yellows on LED Output 24 (RIGHT ALLEY).
