2026-11-06: Command Builder for Whelen Command (release candidate)
Parent projects: Upfit Studio and F-150 Emergency Lighting and 12V Upfit.
What changed
Section titled “What changed”On 31 Oct, a Claude computer-use session filled in my Whelen Command file from Upfit Studio’s setup sheet and saved it as Command file “-3”. It worked, but the instructions were written by hand. Command Builder turns that one-off into a repeatable feature.

Status
Section titled “Status”- Built and unit-tested on Windows: 217 tests pass (Python 3.14, my PC, 6 Nov 2026).
- The first run packet is generated: 96 settings to enter, 64 to skip and set by hand, 0 that break a rule. It starts from Command file “-4” and saves as “-5”.
- Not yet run against the live Whelen Command app with the new packet, and nothing has been transferred to the CanTrol or bench-tested.
